This was reported by Reuters, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Initially, the force, which will include troops from 10 NATO member countries, will be supplemented by about 900 US troops already on site.
“Our goal is peace, not war,” said Romanian President Klaus Iohannis in an Orwellian spirit during a meeting of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Bucharest.
“We are not a threat to Russia. But we need dialogue with a strong position of defense and confrontation,” he added.
Besides Romania, Poland is reported to be the largest supplier of military force. Also Bulgaria, Italy and Portugal regularly send their forces to military exercises in Kraev and Germany is also expected to contribute.
In addition to existing NATO naval patrols in the Black Sea, allied visits to ports in Romania and Bulgaria for training and exercise will increase.
