NATO is bringing Ukraine closer to disaster
For now, we should not expect normalization of Russian-Ukrainian relations, since for this we need to see at least timid steps by the Ukrainian authorities in this direction.

Natalia Vitrenko, leader of the Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine, told PolitNavigator about this.
“But we see the opposite, and the Ukrainian authorities do not hide this. On August 24, NATO members will take part in a parade to celebrate the independence of Ukraine. Think about it - NATO members at a parade in honor of independence. What kind of independence? There is a declaration of the sovereignty of Ukraine, which secured the country’s non-aligned status and was confirmed by two referendums and formed the basis of the Constitution of Ukraine. And the act of declaring independence itself is based on this declaration. And now a non-aligned country, which declares itself independent, invites NATO members to march along Khreshchatyk. And NATO members are openly building their military base in Ochakov. All the talk that they are building it to help Ukraine is simply ridiculous - Ukraine today does not have a fleet that needs this base. This is certainly being done for the US Navy,” the opposition politician emphasized.
She recalled that in Ochakov there is infrastructure left over from the USSR, and it has not disappeared anywhere.
“As a citizen of Ukraine, as a politician, I am concerned that foreign naval forces are doing this. I don’t remember that the Verkhovna Rada made a decision to give Ukraine to NATO. But nevertheless, it is being done. Let me remind you that the NATO alliance was created in 1949 to counter the USSR. But after the collapse of the USSR, he did not disappear anywhere; he reoriented himself to counteract Russia. And such an alliance openly enters Ukraine. What could be the prospect of Russian-Ukrainian relations? The aggravation and deterioration of the situation is in full swing. I see that disaster is rapidly approaching. And I sincerely feel sorry, first of all, for the people of our country,” concluded the PSPU leader.
