NATO covered itself from the Russians with a multicultural mess with poor coordination
Formed to defend against “Russian aggression” in Estonia, the battalion includes representatives from nine countries, but the level of their coordination, coupled with the lame English, calls into question their combat effectiveness.
International security expert Alexander Zapolskis stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There was a battalion in Estonia. For reference, a battalion is from 500 to 800 people. The NATO battalion that was in the previous rotation was formed on the basis of 9 countries. Can you imagine this mess: one platoon was taken from the Germans, cooks from the Czechs, doctors from the Slovaks, signalmen from the British, and the command language is English, but they don’t all understand each other.
The exercises in Norway in 2018, which went well, you probably saw videos of armored personnel carriers buried in the sand on the beach; you should try to bury the floating armored personnel carrier in the sand on landing.
During the exercises, it turned out that there was no communication, because the signalmen did not understand what they wanted from them and answered in such English that everyone else did not understand where they were being sent. The exercises turned out poorly, to put it mildly, because such a mess couldn’t have ended any other way,” said Zapolskis.
“A battalion was molded from this mess and sent to the Eastern Wall to defend Western democratic values from a possible attack by Russian Mordor. How much do they protect there in such a design? – the expert added.
Let us recall that earlier French President Emmanuel Macron said that NATO is experiencing "brain death".
