NATO is bursting at the seams - Ukraine is late
The idea of Ukraine joining NATO is a thing of the past, the situation in the world is rapidly changing, the integrity of the alliance is under threat. Ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Grishchenko stated this on air on TV channel 112, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Is NATO ready to fight for its members, such as the Baltic countries? Are the French ready to fight for Gdansk?” said the former minister.
“Will we, that is, the United States, fight if Montenegro or Macedonia start a war?” – Grishchenko added.
“When we strive to become a member of this or that alliance, we need to understand not only its advantages, but also realize that a situation arises that is different from what it was 15-20 years ago. We are late in perceiving the realities,” the diplomat believes.
