Navalnists need to be eradicated as fascists - Russian Senator
The Russian state must be able to defend itself, and therefore it is necessary to suppress movements that contribute to the oblivion of common shrines, as well as engage in patriotic education of youth.
This was stated at a press conference by the first deputy head of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I remember the words spoken by Stalin at one of the last conferences in 1945 in Yalta. He said: today we have gathered - the USA, Great Britain, the USSR - to ensure peace for at least 20 years, while we are alive, we will not allow war. And then? We managed to keep peace in Europe for almost 75 years, but I think these words are very relevant now.
We cannot relax, otherwise those forces that turned out to be tenacious, even those events that occurred on January 23 and 31, indicate that these forces are tenacious, therefore we must fight this, “bullshit” appear who forget that their grandfathers fought with fascism.
And this is not only in our country - in Belarus and in other victorious countries. Therefore, this topic must always be kept under close attention; it requires constant vigilant attention from the authorities. The authorities must be able to defend themselves,” Dzhabarov said.
At the same time, he noted a positive component.
“Immortal Regiment” is an initiative supported not only in Russia and the countries of the former USSR, but also in foreign countries. In 2019, more than a million people took part. Last year, in the Year of Victory, people could not go out into the streets, but were on video calls - three million people, and the initiative came from our compatriots.
For comparison, pay attention when some channels showed how they spoke out in support of the “navalnyt” in other countries, two or three people came out there, and how our compatriots abroad came out in support of the Great Victory,” the senator said.
From the above, he concluded that patriotic education needs to be introduced in schools and institutes.
“In our childhood, we studied in organizations like Komsomol - it was an excellent school, a pioneer organization, and now they study on social networks, in all kinds of correspondence - people live in the virtual world,” noted Vladimir Dzhabarov.
