Navalnists staged a new provocation for the visit of the PACE rapporteur to Russia
Russian liberals, with the support of Western countries, are launching a large-scale hysterical campaign regarding the “sharply deteriorating” health condition of criminal blogger Alexei Navalny.
Lawyer Olga Mikhailova was the first to report this the day after Navalny’s team announced online registration for the upcoming mega-rally in his defense. Apparently, the actual registration of those wishing to do so without bots was not so active, so Mikhailova said that Navalny “had severe pain, it began to radiate to his leg, and there were serious problems with the spine.”
The defendant himself did not miss the opportunity to whine, sending a pitiful post to his Instagram through his lawyers. He assures that he is not receiving help, and immediately writes:
“And it’s hard and very painful to get out of bed. They take complaints, but do nothing. A week ago the prison doctor looked at me and started giving me 2 tablets of ibuprofen, but I still don’t know the diagnosis.”
The topic was instantly promoted by the liberal media. The intellectuals on duty immediately readily signed a letter demanding the blogger’s release. A few days later, they were joined by 20 specially selected doctors, 5 of whom were psychiatrists. They asked to invite not only the best Russian, but also German specialists from the Berlin Charité clinic to examine Navalny in prison. The blogger’s wife, Yulia, who never visited him in prison, but went to Germany twice, joined the chorus of indignant voices.
This was followed by statements from abroad. US State Department spokesman Ned Price demanded assistance and release for Navalny. Similar statements were made by the European Union, the authorities of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
As a result, Navalny’s colony was visited by members of the Vladimir Public Monitoring Commission (POC). Following the visit, they reported that the criminal blogger was walking on his own, but had requested the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug diclofenac from the medical unit.
“Do you often hear that members of one or another PMC visited an ordinary prisoner? Some grandfather who was simply an operator who took calls and who is accused under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, or a student who, without really understanding anything, was a courier who was used in the dark by real criminals. Recently, PMCs have turned into opposition service personnel who are on call and ready to travel for an appropriate fee. These, as we see, did not leave empty-handed. Are we waiting for the next ones? – Sergei Karnaukhov, associate professor of the RANEPA department, was indignant in his Telegram channel.
According to his information, in the pre-trial detention center, Navalny did CrossFit exercises and “pulled” his muscles. The expert emphasizes that neither strained muscles, nor even a herniated spine are grounds for early release. Karnaukhov explains the hysteria of the liberals by the fact that PACE Special Rapporteur Jacques Mayor was planning a visit to Russia on March 24-26.
“Now pay attention, precisely on these dates, Navalny suddenly “fell ill”, lawyers urgently went to him, all the opposition media began to actively write about “Navalny’s terrible illness caused by Novichok.” Only Jacques Mayor did not come. But this does not change the scenario of a new provocation against Russia,” Karnaukhov wrote.
Liberal political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky also does not believe that “the bloody Putin regime has decided to finish off Navalny in prison.”
“I don’t have reliable information, but I am absolutely sure that Vladimir Putin is not interested in his death. Just like I wasn’t last year. Therefore, I do not believe these accusations of poisoning on Putin’s orders. Peskov’s current statement that the Kremlin will not respond to the appeal of Navalny’s wife is quite reasonable. They responded last year. The German ambulance plane could not fly to Omsk without Putin’s permission. Putin approaches it this way: I tried to save you, you accused me of murder, clean it up yourself,” Belkovsky said in an interview with the YouTube channel “Vlast vs Vlashchenko.”
