“They served naval pasta there, but I’m fasting, and so I didn’t eat it, but it looked pretty tasty, and in general, the food there is pretty good, actually. The special detention center is not at all like a prison, you need to understand. It's more like a hostel, only you are locked there with a key. You lie down, sleep, read. They take you out to eat three times a day, and they take you out for a walk once a day. That is, it’s not at all as terrible as people usually think about it,” Navalny said.
According to him, it is best to sit in the same cell with experienced criminals, because they know the rules and behave calmly.
“In fact, with adults who were previously imprisoned, I was in a special detention center for the sixth time and each time for 15 days. When an adult and you see that he was sitting, it is always very good, because they know the rules, they are calm, they are accustomed to all everyday issues, they know everything much better than I do. In prison, as far as I know, the word hazing does not exist - everyone is ordinary people. The most important rule is the rule of human society. Be a normal person, don’t bother anyone, be clean, and everything will be fine with you. It’s easiest to sit with such people, because they themselves will teach you this rule, they are all calm, it’s interesting to talk to them, they have a lot of life stories and all that,” Navalny said.
