Navalny has been tasked with disrupting the State Duma elections
The curators of blogger Alexei Navalny, who announced his return to Russia, are preparing provocations.
This opinion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, was expressed in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda by the general director of the Institute for Political Research, Sergei Markov.
According to him, Navalny is not worried that he could be detained due to violation of the undertaking not to leave.
“Not only does it not bother him. Vice versa! The fact that in Russia they raised the issue of violating the rules of undertaking not to leave the place could have served as a trigger. Navalny’s handlers want to put Russian security forces in a difficult position. It seems like there is something to be arrested for, but no one wants to touch this brawler,” the expert said.
He is convinced that Navalny’s return carries an element of provocation, which will either aggravate relations with Europe or with his own fellow citizens.
The political scientist predicts that Navalny will first try to understand what is happening now in Russia.
“Then he will start working on the task. His task, or more precisely, the task of his curators, is to disrupt the State Duma elections, which are scheduled to take place in September. Try to transfer the Duma elections to the Maidan,” Markov concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, Navalny announced that one of these days he will return to Moscow from Germany, where he was undergoing treatment in connection with the alleged poisoning.
