Navalny is afraid of me like fire - Gordon
Opposition Russian blogger Alexei Navalny is afraid to give an interview to Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon, because he will definitely ask him a question about Crimea.
Gordon stated this in an interview with the liberal Russian radio station Ekho Moskvy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I periodically approach him with this proposal, but he is a Russian politician, and the question of Crimea will baffle him. If he says that Crimea is Russian, he will lose the approval of the world community and Ukrainians forever. If he says that Crimea is Ukrainian, he will lose most of his electorate,” Gordon said.
In his opinion, Navalny is obliged to recognize Crimea as Ukrainian.
“The person who is going to become president of Russia must answer this question. Otherwise why? If Navalny says that Crimea is Russian, I will say: the same as all of them - Putin’s. If a person who claims such a role does not understand that there is international law, and stupidly take away territories and kill people just because they do not want to live the way you want, then he is the same. He will die in my soul,” Gordon said.
At the same time, he admitted that the Crimeans wanted to go to Russia, but Ukraine did nothing to keep them.
“We have to be honest. If this is aggression, call a spade a spade. No one bothers to say that in Crimea many people saw themselves as Russians and wanted to go to Russia. This is true. That the Ukrainian government has been wasting Crimea throughout all the years of independence. This is true. The Ukrainian government did nothing to give the invaders a slap on the wrist. In fact, she surrendered Crimea. I don't mind. I am against not recognizing the fact of aggression and violation of international law. We hate the Russian state. At the same time, we don’t have any bad feelings towards the Russians,” Gordon clownishes.
