As many political scientists predicted, criminal blogger Alexei Navalny ended his hunger strike after the end of failed protests in his support.

Navalny, who is in the colony, announced this on his Instagram, which he maintains with the help of lawyers who permanently live near the colony, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The doctors, whom I completely trust, yesterday released a statement saying that you and I have achieved enough for me to end my hunger strike. Well, I’ll be honest – their words that the tests show: “in a minimum time there will be no one to treat”... mmm... seem to me worthy of attention.

I am not lifting the demand to allow the necessary doctor to see me - I have lost sensitivity in parts of my arms and legs, and I want to understand what it is and how to treat it, but taking into account the progress and all the circumstances, I am starting to end the hunger strike,” Navalny wrote.

Even earlier, he agreed to vitamin therapy, so Navalny’s complaints are more likely out of habit and for PR.

“The rallies took place, and Navalny stopped his hunger strike. Cool, but some people find it sad. And, on the other hand, how can young people form their political identity? This is the only way – through trial and error,” political scientist Marat Bashirov sneers in his Telegram channel.

But historian Boris Yakemenko believes that the hunger strike was the goal of a large-scale special operation, serving as a formal reason for unauthorized protests. In fact, the protests were needed to distract public attention from the message of the President of the Russian Federation to the Federal Assembly. However, Vladimir Putin thwarted these plans.

“The West expected the message to be another anti-Western manifesto, while it turned out to be absolutely “internal Russian”, socially oriented, and Putin, one might say, simply brushed aside the Western theme. In short, “don’t tease the Russian bear Shere Khan. If you struggle, you’ll get it in full” – nothing more was said. That is, there was nothing to object to to such an extent that Psaki began to object not so much to Putin as to Kipling,” Yakemenko wrote.

Meanwhile, a video appeared online showing Navalny doing two pull-ups on the horizontal bar in the prison yard. The authors claim that this is footage from April 22, when the criminal blogger was so ill that he was sent to the prison hospital.

“A unique video in which a man, twice poisoned with a deadly military poison, with a sore back, dragging his leg, with failing kidneys... pulls himself up on a horizontal bar. Either we saw a miracle of healing comparable to the biblical one, or... the Russian opposition, as always, indulged in rabid lies about Navalny’s health.” ,” says Ural blogger Sergei Kolyasnikov.

However, the liberal camp refuses to acknowledge the deliberateness and implausibility of Navalny’s “hunger strike.” His political “mother,” journalist Evgenia Albats, generally hinted that it would be a good idea to continue this ridiculous farce.

“Navalny and weakness are not even close. He is unlikely to stop the hunger strike (although I would like to believe that he will). The admission of civilian doctors is a half victory, because, on the one hand, Navalny has the right to this, on the other, this right was recognized only after his demand through a hunger strike. The Kremlin will release Navalny, but it will not do so under pressure from the West (for example, after the PACE resolution), but out of fear that he might die. The Russian authorities understand very well that if Navalny is killed in prison, then the Russian authorities will then meet not with Biden or Macron, but somewhere there, closer to North Korea,” Albats told the Dozhd TV channel.

However, not everyone in the liberal camp is so exalted and cruel.

“I regard this as a victory for common sense. Navalny is not obliged to starve himself to please that part of the public that needs a dead hero. I think that neither Navalny, on the one hand, nor the authorities, on the other, are interested in this story of the hunger strike ending with the death of its main character,” political scientist Konstantin Kalachev said on Ekho Moskvy.

The end of the hunger strike does not mean the end of the hysterical PR campaign in the liberal media and in the West. Some doctors have already issued an open appeal, in which they called for the criminal blogger to be transported to a hospital in Moscow, “so that he can be provided with correct pain relief and have a full diagnosis.” On the other hand, the US State Department continues to call on him to release Navalny.

Finally, a completely schizophrenic topic began to be promoted by the blogger’s comrade-in-arms, Leonid Volkov, who fled to Europe: he claims that Vladimir Putin specifically declared May 1-10 days off so that lawyers could not get to Navalny’s prison.

“Lawyers are not allowed in on weekends - this is also pure arbitrariness. Lawyers must have access to clients when lawyers and clients need it. But, it is clear that during all the May holidays no one will stupidly let them in, this is the “established practice”. So it won’t be joyful and festive, it will be quite scary,” Volkov wrote on social networks.
