Some event in Russia could provoke a new wave of Belomaidan.
The fugitive Belarusian oppositionist Olga Karach stated this on the YouTube channel “Our House TV,” a PolitNavagitora correspondent reports.
“We are preparing for the fact that in the near future (we are talking about a few months) the window of opportunity will be reopened, and there will be a certain trigger. Unfortunately, this trigger will be organized not by us, but by Vladimir Putin. Perhaps Alexander Lukashenko. But, nevertheless, we need to be prepared.
Perhaps this window of opportunity will only be a few hours. Various experts say that it will be several hours, several days. Our task now is to prepare as much as possible. Everything needs to be ready in order to throw Luka off in a few hours and get everything done... We, of course, may not react, the next window will appear in another six months,” Karach said.
She clarified that the Belarusian opposition will have to act together with the Russian one.
“Everything that shakes the Russian regime helps us. As one well-known oppositionist told me, in the near future the goal of the Belarusian and Russian opposition is to immediately unite, with the goal of immediate separation after our victory.
There are processes going on in Russia, and the struggle for democracy is going on there in the same way. Everything that is aimed at weakening the regime in Russia will work for us and help us,” says Karach.
Let us remember that all summer and all spring she called on supporters to prepare for the imminent “Day X” - the violent overthrow of the government, but nothing happened.
