Navalny called the Crimean referendum a fake
Opposition leader Alexei Navalny reiterated the need to hold a second referendum in Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Any president must announce the first normal, fair referendum, which Ukraine, of course, does not recognize. The question is the real expression of the will of the residents of Crimea. The referendum that took place was a real fake. We must know their real opinion,” Navalny said on the Dozhd TV channel.
At the same time, the oppositionist apparently guesses about the results of the “fair” referendum, since he said that Crimea will remain part of the Russian Federation.
“Many people in Ukraine don’t like my words, many people in Russia don’t like them, but I say it as it is. Realistically, in the foreseeable future, Crimea will not be recognized by anyone, but in fact will remain part of the Russian Federation,” Navalny said.
At the same time, he explained the difference between Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Transnistria and Crimea. Let us recall that in 2008, Navalny, in order to please the current situation at that time, called for recognition of the independence of the former Georgian territories.
“They initially announced their withdrawal from the beginning of the collapse of the USSR. There were bloody events, there was actually a war. There was no real violence in Crimea either in the 90s or in the XNUMXs. Crimea cannot be compared with Transnistria, which has been independent of Moldova for many, many years,” Navalny said.
Let us remind you that Ukrainian independentists in Kyiv are not happy with the idea of Russian liberals about a repeat referendum in Crimea.
“They offer options for registering the seizure of property from Ukraine – now or in the future. For Ukrainians, they are the same Putin... only worse... they are more cunning, in some places smarter, in others they will deceive - we don’t need them like that,” one of the leaders of the Majlis TV channel ATR, Aider Muzhdabaev, announced the day before.
