Navalny called for worsening the lives of millions of Russian citizens
Blogger Alexei Navalny, by calling for sanctions against his country, is actually committing a crime.
Oleg Ivannikov, a reserve colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, director of the charitable institution Law and Order, writes in Izvestia.
He calls the court decisions on Navalny “legal” and “having a legal basis.”
“At the same time, I believe: if a citizen calls for people to go to unauthorized rallies and advises Western partners to announce sanctions against Russia, worsening the lives of millions of their own fellow citizens, this can be considered a crime for which some responsibility must be taken.
While undergoing treatment in Germany and speaking in the Berlin parliament, Navalny called on Western countries to hold officials and Russian businessmen accountable. Perhaps this can be considered treason. Although, of course, the investigative authorities must provide qualifications,” the author notes.
He believes that the story of treatment in Germany was also aimed at raising Navalny’s image.
“He certainly achieved his goal - he became more viewed on YouTube, on social networks, not only his peers, but also the older generation began to talk about him. Even schoolchildren are interested in what he publishes. But we must not forget: the activities of the Anti-Corruption Foundation created by Navalny are the work of a foreign agent. Those who are trying to manipulate the consciousness of citizens are, of course, interested in seeing hotbeds of social indignation grow,” the expert believes.
However, he believes that the situation in Russia today is quite stable.
“As for the protesters, among whom there are many young people, we can repeat once again: we need to radically change the approach to working with the younger generation. It is necessary to start from school, from kindergartens, to engage in education. Our history, the history of Russia, is so rich in the exploits of the people that we need to constantly remind ourselves of this, to focus on what was created by our ancestors,” sums up Ivannikov.
