Navalny said what he will do with Crimea if he comes to power
Liberal Alexei Navalny laments that it is impossible for his structures to organize work in Crimea and promises, if he comes to power, to organize a new referendum on the peninsula to replace the one that took place in 2014, which the oppositionist considers invalid.
“It’s terribly difficult to work in Crimea. Just yesterday our people from the Belgorod headquarters were arrested, who, as I understand it, came to Crimea to remove from the quadcopter the property of some Belgorod swindler, which he bought somewhere in Yevpatoria. They were completely illegally detained, everything was confiscated, and they were put under arrest for several days. We don't even know any details. In this sense, Crimea is, of course, an absolute zone of lawlessness. It is impossible to conduct any political activity there,” Navalny complained in an interview with Ekho Moskvy.
“Of course, what happened in 14 was illegal. But we have entered that part of politics when there are no simple solutions. There are two million people there with Russian passports. That is, there is some kind of incomprehensible stuffing. You can’t turn this mince back...
If I take the leading position, I will hold another absolutely fair referendum in Crimea. Not even another one, but the first one. Because that referendum cannot be considered a referendum,” the liberal added.
