Navalny gathered fewer people than Stas Mikhailov

Attention to the opposition rallies that took place in Russian cities on Sunday is artificially fueled by the organizers of the protests associated with Alexei Navalny. Political scientist Sergei Mikheev told PolitNavigator about this.

“The value is artificially inflated. Attaching meaning to this means pumping them up with your own resource. This is such a technique in political strategists. If you don’t have enough resources, get those who have more resources to talk about you. And they, even if they speak against you, will work for you. By taking a comment from me, you are helping them,” Mikheev said.

He believes that a rally of eight thousand people in a multimillion-dollar Moscow cannot be regarded as a mass one.

“More people come to Stas Mikhailov’s concerts or football matches. I don't even follow these small rallies. This bullshit is being spread on the Internet. While in Moscow, I didn’t notice these rallies at all and I don’t know a single person who saw them,” Mikheev said.

At the same time, he agreed with the thesis that there are external forces that will rock the situation before the presidential elections in Russia.

“The idea of fighting corruption in this sense is universal for interfering in internal affairs, because corruption exists in any state, and the fighter against corruption will have a moral head start. Its authorship is American. It all started not in Belarus, Ukraine and Russia, but much earlier in other countries. The Americans found the topic of fighting corruption as a win-win for organizing revolutions or pseudo-revolutions. Therefore, where there is a fight against corruption, there is an American hand,” Mikheev said.
