Navalny is sure that he was poisoned by Putin's ninjas
Opposition Russian blogger Alexei Navalny compared his feelings from alleged poisoning with the Novichok combat substance to the “kiss of a Dementor” (the creature from Harry Potter). He repeated his accusations against Russian President Vladimir Putin and described him as a comic book character "Dr. Evil."
He stated this in an interview with his liberal colleague Yuri Dudu, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Megalomania is not megalomania, but everything indicates that Putin is personally obsessed with the idea of mysterious poisonings. He really likes the idea that he commands an army of Nazgul (Tolkien's fantasy character - ed.), secret ninja dudes, assassins (medieval Ismaili terrorists, computer game characters - ed.), who terrify everyone. This is some kind of mystical bullshit. And the Kremlin clearly likes the idea that they are terrifying. They see it as an influence mechanism. It works. Many people think, why bother with these Russians. Maybe the main goal was not to kill me, but to terrify me. And they achieved their goal,” Navalny said.
He does not see anything unusual in the fact that German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited him in the hospital, since he considers himself a figure equal to Putin.
"What is the problem? Putin is meeting with Angela Merkel or the Minister of Foreign Affairs. I don’t pretend to be politician No. 2, but I’m probably one of the main opposition politicians in Russia. I don't see any problem why I can't meet with a foreign leader. I can discuss any Russian and international issues with her, just like Putin,” Navalny said.
Russian political scientist Marat Bashirov agrees with this self-assessment.
“This is a demonstration of Navalny’s long-awaited upgrade into a systemic oppositionist. To say that it is simply beautiful is not enough. I must say that everything will be fine with Russia, all the squares on the chess field are occupied by the right people,” Bashirov wrote in his Telegram channel.
