Nazarbayev is ready to accept Moldova into the EAEU
About 40 countries of the world proposed to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to conclude agreements on the creation of free economic zones. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is now the chairman of the EAEU, spoke about this today in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
“Even South Korea wants to have free trade with us, the SCO, the Republic of China, Turkey. They analyze and see that there is a resource here. He will play in the future,” Nazarbayev said.

He will welcome a possible referendum in Moldova on the issue of joining the EAEU.
“As the current chairman of the Eurasian Economic Union, I support Moldova’s aspirations to join the EAEU. If such a proposal comes to us, we will carefully consider it,” Nazarbayev said.
According to the president, he approached the Economic Commission for Europe with a proposal to hold a joint forum of the EU and the EAEU.
“For our experts to tell us what it is. Today there is no readiness to interact, although the leaders of the largest European states have spoken in favor of usefulness. They'll think about it in the future. Europe needs us, first of all, Russia. And we need Europe. They need our resources, we need their technologies,” Nazarbayev said.
