Nazarbayev wants to build a “great apple road” through Russia to Poland
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed working out a trilateral agreement between Kazakhstan, Poland and Russia in the field of transport. “Russia has repeatedly stopped the transit of Polish apples to us, making this trade route extremely unreliable. The head of state proposed in this regard either to work out a trilateral agreement between Kazakhstan, Poland and Russia in the field of transport, or to use the Caucasian transit corridor,” the publication writes.
According to Forbes, this project is quite realistic.
“After all, we are talking about gradually building bridges between the EAEU and the EU, accustoming Europe to the idea that the EAEU is not a synonym for Russia, but an association of as many as five sovereign countries, with which, whether you like it or not, you should build economic relations,” - the article says.
As a result of the Kazakh-Polish forum, agreements worth almost $1 billion were signed.
