“I am glad that Kazakhstan and Russia remain reliable neighbors and partners, and all issues are resolved as they should be resolved in the civilized world,” Nazarbayev said.
He said he has already met with Putin four times this year and intends to hold five more meetings. Contracts worth $25 billion will be signed.
For his part, Vladimir Putin expressed hope that Russia and Kazakhstan will be able to overcome the decline in physical volumes of trade turnover.
“We have a decline in trade turnover in foreign exchange terms. At the same time, in physical terms it is not so significant, only seven percent, and this is something that we can certainly overcome with you,” Putin believes.
According to the President of the Russian Federation, countries are implementing a number of large projects, not only in the energy sector, but also in industrial production and other areas. The head of state recalled plans to build a helicopter manufacturing enterprise in Kazakhstan.
