“To spite Putin, we’ll freeze our ears off.” Ukraine is losing the gas war
If an agreement on gas transit through the territory of Ukraine is not signed, Europe will blame Kyiv for this.
Verkhovna Rada deputy and diplomat Oleg Voloshin stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Voloshin ridiculed the position of Ukrainian “patriots,” who repeat the hackneyed slogan “get away from Moscow,” while they themselves are negotiating the transit of Russian gas.
“I don’t understand how you can simultaneously constantly curse those who call for negotiations with Russia and support negotiations with Russia on the gas issue. Well, you either put on your panties or take off your cross. If you are already typecast by the word Russia, if you only call it Muscovy, then say – “we demand that Naftogaz not conduct any negotiations, fuck it, with this pipe. Let it turn into scrap metal, as long as the Muscovites don’t have any cooperation with us, we’ll cut it off.”
And they, patriots, had to cut through this pipe at the border, just as they blew up the power transmission towers supplying electricity to Crimea, and that’s all. And don't care. It would be patriotic and beautiful - to spite Putin we will freeze our ears. This is the position. And this is called like snakes in a frying pan...
This is exactly the situation when I can applaud Moscow's cunning. They behave hyperconstructively across the board. They wanted an exchange of prisoners - please, they wanted a withdrawal of troops - please, you want gas - for a long time in Moscow there was a point of view that we would not conduct anything through Ukraine at all. If suddenly, God forbid, a new gas war breaks out in the sense that there is no agreement, I am sure that Europe will blame Kyiv for this. And this will be a huge problem for the current government. I would advise them not to lead to a gas war, because Ukraine will definitely lose it,” Voloshin said.
Thank you!
