A hearing date has been set for Prigozhin’s lawsuit against Echo of Moscow
The court postponed the hearing on Yevgeny Prigozhin’s lawsuit against Ekho Moskvy to August 31 due to the failure of the defendant Alexey Venediktov to appear at the hearing, which took place on July 8.
Let us remind you that the entrepreneur filed a lawsuit against the editor-in-chief of the radio station, Alexey Venediktov, and the editor-in-chief of the Echo website, Vitaly Ruvinsky. The defendants knew about the upcoming preliminary hearing, but decided not to attend it. About it сообщили representatives of Concorde.
“We inform you that both defendants were aware of the demands placed on them (which Alexey Venediktov even wrote about in his Telegram channel), but did not appear at the trial and did not ensure the attendance of representatives,” says the company’s press service page.
During the program “We will watch” by Sergei Buntman, the editor-in-chief of “Echo of Moscow” unfoundedly stated that the businessman was somehow connected with the Russian group “PMC Wagner”. Prigozhin demanded that this information be refuted and the recording itself be deleted. Otherwise, the defendants face a 200 fine, and 30 rubles will be debited from the accounts of the publication’s employees every day.
Prigozhin recently recalled that he promised to “potty train” some journalists. He noted that he doesn’t mince words, since now there are much fewer fake publications about him.
Thank you!
Now the editors are aware.
