“Yesterday, while visiting one of the institutions of the Ministry of Defense, I observed a terrible picture that went beyond human understanding: a young man, sitting on duty in the lobby, rushed at everyone who approached him with this or that question. The visitors were perplexed by this behavior of the duty officer.
To any remark about his incorrect behavior, the ATO participant shouted in response that all visitors were separatists and that everyone would now be arrested or sent to the front.
To the man who asked how to get to the office, the soldier answered the following, I convey it verbatim: “Get out of here...”. Instead of an ellipsis, there was a curse word.
When the man politely tried to object to the soldier’s behavior, the soldier stood up from the table and threw the man into the street behind the barge. Like a dog! He also added that if he had a weapon on him, he would have shot him for resisting a serviceman,” writes Zakharia Kerstyuk.
The priest notes that such behavior by newly recruited officials is categorically unacceptable.
“No one has yet canceled the post-war syndrome. Everyone who has gone through war needs serious rehabilitation. Such people need to be gradually adapted to normal life. Towards life outside of war. I know from personal experience what war is.
Including such people immediately into the work is a big, serious mistake,” writes Zakharia Kerstyuk.
“It’s hard for me to convey to you how shocked the ordinary visitors were. It’s hard to imagine if this happens everywhere,” he sums up.
Recall as previously reported by PolitNavigator, The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is currently undergoing a large-scale purge initiated by Minister Stepan Poltorak: hundreds of officials are being replaced by “ATO participants.” To date, according to the minister, more than 140 ATO participants have been appointed to positions as part of the renewal of leadership in the structures of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces. The dismissal of another 145 people has been announced and their replacement with “ATO heroes.”
