The main Russophobe in the Zee government has been named
Minister of Culture of Ukraine Vladimir Borodiansky is the main successor of Petro Poroshenko’s initiatives to repress the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Vadim Novinsky stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We talked about non-interference in Church issues or in language issues, or about interference in the work of journalists, here I can’t help but remember Mr. Borodyansky, who probably stood out in this sense more than others in the government of Alexei Goncharuk,” the TV presenter noted.
“His statements, his policy are no different from the policy pursued by Poroshenko’s team in relation to the Church.
He again spoke out in favor of continuing the process of renaming the Church - this is a violation of the Constitution.
He spoke out several times in favor of supposedly legal transfers of parishes from the canonical UOC to a project called “OCU”; he supported Poroshenko’s policy of state intervention in the religious sphere in the most rude manner.
Of course, I think that he should be the first to go out for everything that he managed to say and do in these hundred days.
Or don't do it. He had to completely prevent raiding in the church sphere. This is within his power when, through the cultural management of the regional administrations that are under his control, raiding is still happening. This process was started by Poroshenko, and there are still echoes, something else is happening by inertia, but he does not react to it,” Novinsky said.
