The village that became a bone in the throat of the “Right Sector” has been named

Over the past week, military reports have kept repeating about the occupation of the villages of Metalist and Gladosovo by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which led to an unprecedented aggravation of the situation around the so-called Svetlodar arc.

PolitNavigator correspondents managed to communicate with military personnel in front-line positions near the village of Dolomitnoye, as well as with a local resident whose house was damaged by a shell fired by the Ukrainian army.

The position of the village of Dolomitnoye is in itself quite interesting: the settlement is located between Novolugansk and Travnevo controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (until recently - a gray zone). The situation here is identical with all the famous Zaitsevo. Alexander Gusar

Now Dolomite is the real demarcation line, the last line.

“Here is their building, there on the high-rise they have eyes, and a little closer to the positions themselves, the flag hung there, first Ukrainian, then from the Right Sector, they change them,” said a DPR Armed Forces serviceman with the call sign “Khaki.”

Another serviceman with the call sign “Kasper” said that the nearest Ukrainian Armed Forces positions are no more than 200-250 meters away. He also noted the very tense situation.

“The night did not pass quietly: small arms were working, from machine guns and machine guns, ending with sniper fire. I was working with a thermal imager, apparently, since it was very dark and foggy,” the serviceman said.

P.N.: How do you behave in the face of such provocations?

"Casper": We restrain ourselves, we tolerate, we observe “Minsk” and the like. We are calmer, it is they who behave aggressively. We endure and wait.

P.N.: You are opposed here by the “Right Sector”; is there a difference between them and the Ukrainian Armed Forces?

"Casper": Of course there is a huge one. VSU officers behave adequately and with restraint. PS, how to say, at 12 o’clock in front of us there is a position at which they are shooting absolutely “out of the blue.” I think that they just want to have fun - they have weapons in their hands, so as not to “make a nightmare” and scare people.

It should be noted that the most catastrophic situation here is for local residents, because they get the most. Now we are not talking about any looting and so on. The fighters and the local population peacefully coexist, however, this does not negate the fact that people live on the front line, without shops, schools, or kindergartens. And sometimes, just going out for them means risking everything, says a local resident named Valentina.

P.N.: At what time did the shelling take place?

Valentina: (pointing to a hole in the brickwork of the house) Around 9 pm, maybe fifteen to nine. The shelling began. I heard a bang, and everything fell down, it’s good that I was outside the door, so...

P.N.: How do you even live here, since your front line is right behind your house?

Valentine: We live terribly. It’s such an age, there’s nowhere to go or go. Every night the shelling sometimes subsides before the morning. And this can happen in the evening, or even in the dead of night. Where are they shooting and who? We try to hide in the “hut”, well, see what? It’s good that there is triple masonry, otherwise everything would collapse.
