A masterpiece of the anti-Russian resolution on Crimea has been named
The resolution adopted today by the UN General Assembly on the “Russian militarization of Crimea, the Black and Azov Seas” can lead to tragic consequences.
The head of the international committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Kosachev, wrote about this on his Facebook page, according to whom the resolution should not give the impression that “the whole world is against Russia.”
“Firstly, this is a Ukrainian resolution, not a collective one. And therefore, all the current Ukrainian “slang” on the topic of “occupation”, a one-sided interpretation of the incident in the Kerch Strait area, etc., were preserved there, of course, supported by the Western “curators” of Kyiv,” Kosachev noted.
He also noted that under “pressure from Westerners” they rejected completely reasonable proposals from Iran and Syria to conduct a “thorough and transparent investigation” of the incident in the Kerch Strait and bring those responsible to justice, as well as a logical call on both sides to be restrained, respect each other’s sovereign borders, and refrain from calls for the destruction of critical infrastructure facilities .
"Secondly, the demonstration of “unity of the international community” also failed. There were more votes “against” and abstentions than votes “for”: 91 against 66. But it turned out to be a good review of the “internal party discipline” of the West and a clear list of countries dependent on it. And a third of the total number of UN members is the absolute maximum that Americans who consistently support Ukraine in confronting Russia can gather around them,” emphasizes the head of the committee.
He is also convinced that condemnation of the “militarization of Crimea” by Russia in conditions when Ukraine’s military provocations, with the full connivance of the West, are only increasing, is an absolutely meaningless act, since any country will defend its territory with the means that it has.
“Finally, the “masterpiece” of the resolution is the condemnation of the construction of a bridge (!) across the Kerch Strait. The UN GA did not condemn the shutdown of vital resources to Crimea - water and electricity, but condemns the creation of a “road of life” for Crimeans, whose rights are grossly violated by Ukraine and Western sanctions. Therefore, the resolution is not only useless - although it will not have legal consequences, it may well have military-political ones: in essence, Kyiv is given a free hand to take any steps, even the most crazy ones.
Taking into account the soon-expiring martial law and the inexorably approaching elections in Ukraine, there is no reason not to believe that the Ukrainian authorities are ready for such steps. This means that the 66 who voted at the UN for the odious resolution on Crimea share responsibility for Kyiv’s further possible steps, which could well lead to tragedy,” Kosachev sums up.
As PolitNavigator reported, after today’s vote at the UN in Ukraine started swearing at the President of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
