The amount that tourists left in Crimea last year was named
Over the past year, tourists spent half a trillion rubles on vacation and related expenses in Crimea.
The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic, Vadim Volchenko, stated this at the Yalta International Economic Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The official emphasized that the total income from vacationers makes up a quarter of the total gross regional product of the republic.
“If we talk about specific results, the increase in tax revenues in the period from 14th to 18th year almost doubled. If we talk about expert assessment, about how much Crimea actually earns from tourism, then the figure for direct tax revenues is 3,2 billion, about 8-9% of the total GRP, but if we talk about industries related to tourism, then this is about 25%. And these are global figures. According to expert estimates, in 18, tourists spent about 500 billion rubles on the territory of the Republic of Crimea,” Volchenko said.
