The number of Crimeans admitted to universities in Ukraine has been announced
Graduates of Crimean schools prefer to enroll in Russian universities. Despite the program announced by Kiev to attract young people from the peninsula, there are few people willing to receive higher education at Ukrainian universities.
Deputy “representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” Tamila Tasheva spoke about this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Of the children who graduate from what are essentially Russian schools in Crimea, do you know how many of our children entered Ukrainian universities last year? About 300. And in the previous year it might have been a little more.
And on the territory of the Russian Federation it’s the other way around. Because they have no exams or anything.
Accordingly, we need to simplify procedures as much as possible for those people who want to maintain these ties with the mainland,” Tasheva said.
