Through members of the Mejlis and Russian lawyers defending extremists, Ukraine can allegedly influence the processes in Crimea.
Deputy Minister for “Occupied Territories” Georgiy Tuka stated this on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, no official bodies of Ukraine are currently operating on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, so we have to use either activists of the Crimean Tatar movement who continue to resist the occupiers, or Russian lawyers who defend, among other things, our sailors, activists of the Crimean Tatar people. Today this is the only mechanism; there is no other legal mechanism,” said Tuka.
