The next place where Poroshenko will shed blood has been named
Petro Poroshenko will try to extend the validity of martial law by staging a bloody provocation around the shrines of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What happened with this provocation - the way it happened, and the way the West reacted to it, just indicates that it was developed in Kyiv, developed quickly, the Americans were not notified about it at all. At best, Volker could have been told even that without details, but Volker was nobody. Apparently, neither the United States nor our European friends were in the dark. This was developed, of course, in the interests of Poroshenko. Yes, he was interested in giving this provocation an external sound, but first of all he was counting on internal action. Of course, he was interested in having these ships sunk in the Kerch Strait.
If they drowned, the reaction (West - ed.) would have been different, and within the country Poroshenko could have pushed for 60 days, martial law throughout the entire territory, and the cancellation or postponement of elections and combining them with parliamentary ones,” Ishchenko said.
“If provocations in the Donbass were beneficial to him, he would organize them there, and not in the Sea of Azov, but he is afraid, because in the Donbass there is at least a 30-strong, well-trained, well-armed contingent and at least a 40-strong reserve . That is, the Donbass army can be deployed to at least 70 thousand, and after that it will at least occupy the border of the regions. Poroshenko understands this very well, he is afraid of serious provocations there, but they have not paid attention to frivolous ones like skirmishes or the advance of one company three kilometers forward in Kyiv for a long time,” he added.
According to the political scientist, Poroshenko needs a provocation of such a scale to extend and expand martial law throughout Ukraine, otherwise the end of this regime on December 25 will mean an early loss of the elections.
“Therefore, the greatest danger now is not over the Donbass or the Kerch water area, but over the UOC, against which a persecution campaign has long been launched. Now the registration with the Ministry of Justice of the Pochaev Lavra has been revoked and an inventory of the property in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra has begun. This is what can give Poroshenko an argument for introducing any repression and deploying martial law for an unlimited number of days throughout the territory.
If repressions begin against the UOC, then, regardless of the decisions made by the hierarchy, at least some of its parishioners will resist and there will be clashes. In any case, it will be thousands, or even tens of thousands.
But the main thing is that this will happen throughout the country, and Poroshenko, in the spirit of Ukrainian propaganda, will say that this is “Putin’s fifth column, they staged an anti-Ukrainian rebellion, they need to be suppressed, and the military situation only in the border areas no longer suits us, because they we were attacked,” predicts Rostislav Ishchenko.
