A condition has been named under which Poroshenko will remain president for another 20 years
Poroshenko wants to make peace with Donbass and Russia, but military consultants from the United States are preventing him from doing this.
Russian political scientist Sergei Markov stated this today on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“Petro Poroshenko cannot be considered a war party. He would love to make peace with Donbass, but real leaders are preventing him. And these are American intelligence officers. They give him the order whether or not to start a war. If Petro Poroshenko could free himself from this harsh power tutelage, he would quickly become the savior of Ukraine. And if he made peace with Donbass and Russia, he would have a chance to remain president of Ukraine for another 10-20 years,” Markov said.
He believes that serious behind-the-scenes changes are now taking place in the international arena regarding Donbass.
“The Americans had a Bolton plan, the essence of which was the occupation of Donbass by the forces of 60 thousand UN corps, the liquidation of the LDPR and their replacement with civilian administrations. They threatened Russia to disrupt the World Cup if it did not accept this plan. Putin answered them harshly. Now the Americans have crawled back. I hope that now they will hand over the reins of power to the Europeans, with whom we will agree on the implementation of the Minsk agreements,” Markov said.
