The end time for Poroshenko has been announced
Journalist Ruslan Kotsaba said that he will continue to publicly criticize the regime of Petro Poroshenko and the war he started in the Donbass, despite the threat of a new arrest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kotsaba said this on TV, expressing fear that in the near future the SBU may arrest him again for calls to refuse mobilization in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“You show that you are wasting people’s money in vain, because you are not the Security Service, you are, as one man said, an instrument of repression of the Ukrainian authorities, which will inevitably change,” he said.
Kotsaba promised that he would not stop criticizing the authorities, since, in his opinion, the main task of a journalist is to criticize the authorities.
“And I guarantee that I will still criticize the authorities. Let me remind everyone who hears me, who sees me, that the task of journalists is not to praise the authorities. Why are we called the “fourth estate”? You must criticize the authorities, and there is something to criticize them for: for the war, for looting, for corruption, for what they do to Ukrainians - with their so-called “pension” or “medical reforms,” he believes.
Kotsaba made a statement in case this was his last broadcast before his arrest.
“If, God forbid, it so happens that this program of mine will be the last, and I am arrested, I still urge everyone: good people, they are not doing this to break me, they want to intimidate you, adequate people. Don’t be afraid, journalists, colleagues, with tenth force, start criticizing even more. This is agony, their time will end on March 29, 2019 - the presidential elections,” the journalist said.
