The heads of Russia's two most famous opposition liberal media have held their positions longer than President Vladimir Putin, whom these same liberals mercilessly criticize for the irremovability of power and authoritarianism, has been in office.

Every few years, the collectives of these liberal media re-elect their bosses in absolutely fair elections in order to continue, with a calm soul, to criticize the Russian people for their passivity and craving for irremovability of power.
And today, the brave and daring Ilya Azar, as Muratov’s opponent in the next elections in Novaya, received only 13 votes. “S” stands for stability,” Peresedov sarcastically comments on his blog.
