The deadlines for the abolition of roaming between Russia and Belarus have been announced
Roaming between Russia and Belarus will be canceled next year. Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin announced this today on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is already next year, a specific date has been fixed, but all this will come into force only within the framework of a package agreement,” Oreshkin said.
Later, press secretary of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Evgeny Novikov clarified that fees for incoming calls while roaming in the Union State should be canceled no later than September 2020. He noted that Russia has fully agreed on the final version of the road map.
“It was signed by our side on December 19. Now we expect signature from Belarus,” Novikov said.
Russia and Belarus are discussing the possibility of abolishing roaming from the end of 2018.
