NBU: now Ukrainians can buy less than 300 USD in a day
Kyiv, September 22 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The National Bank of Ukraine has reduced the maximum amount for the sale of cash foreign currency to one person on one transaction (working) day in an amount not exceeding the equivalent of 3 thousand UAH.

This is stated in the resolution of the Board of the National Bank dated September 22, 2014 No. 591 “On amendments to certain regulations of the National Bank of Ukraine.”
“Taking into account the increased tension in the cash segment of the foreign exchange market, the resolution provides for a reduction in the maximum amount of sales of cash foreign currency to one person per transaction (working) day in an amount not exceeding the equivalent of 3 hryvnia,” says a statement released by the NBU press service on your Facebook
At the same time, the NBU notes that this restriction does not apply to cases of purchase by resident individuals of cash foreign currency in order to repay obligations in foreign currency under loan agreements concluded with authorized banks.
“These measures are of an exclusively precautionary and temporary nature and will be canceled immediately after the corresponding negative factors in the foreign exchange market are minimized,” the NBU says.
The norms defined by the resolution come into force on September 23, 2014.
Let us note that today the interbank foreign exchange market closed with a decrease in the dollar on sale by 10 kopecks – to 14,80 UAH/USD. The euro decreased in sales by 15 kopecks. According to the InterBusinessConsulting company, trading in the dollar closed in the range of 14,6000-14,8000 UAH/dollar, euro 18,7473-19,0082 UAH/euro, Russian ruble 0,3753-0,3834 UAH/ruble.
