On June 14, the public movement “Donetsk Republic”, together with the Donetsk Higher Combined Arms Command School in Gorlovka, held a ceremonial parade for veterans of the Great Patriotic War - Vasily Nikiforovich Popov, Stepan Ivanovich Polukhin and Fyodor Ivanovich Bryntsev. The school cadets greeted the veterans and marched in ceremonial formation to the songs of the Great Victory.

Vasily Popov served as an infantryman, artilleryman, orderly, signalman, and marched from Gorlovka to Berlin itself. He took part in the battles for the Dnieper, liberated Nikolaev, Brest, Poland, took Königsberg and Berlin. He fought on the First Ukrainian and then the Second Belorussian fronts. In battles he received shell shock and disability. Has 8 military awards: Order of the Patriotic War, 1941st degree, Red Star, medals “For Courage”, “For Military Merit”, “For the Capture of Berlin”, “For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1945-XNUMX”, “For capture of Koenigsberg."

Stepan Polukhin comes from the distant village of Verkhnerechesky, Volgograd region. In 43 he was called to the front, where he served as a signalman. In the battle he was seriously wounded and was in the hospital for almost a year. Having recovered, he returned to service, but in the artillery. Having received a second wound, he was discharged. His exploits were awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, II degree, and the Order of “For Courage,” III degree.

After the war, Stepan Polukhin’s military merits were replaced by labor ones: until his retirement he worked at the Machine-Building Plant in Gorlovka.

It is curious that a year later Fyodor Bryntsev was drafted into the Red Army. He served in the 36th separate artillery division of the 228th rifle regiment of the 2nd Ukrainian Front. Liberated Romania, Hungary, Austria. I celebrated victory in Vienna. But he returned to peaceful life much later - until 1947 he served in Hungary. Then he moved to Stalino, where he entered the Metallurgical College to study, and eventually ended up in Gorlovka by assignment - he worked at the Gorlovka Coke and Chemical Plant until his retirement.

Fyodor Ivanovich has well-deserved awards: Order of the Patriotic War, XNUMXst degree, “For Courage”, medal “For the Capture of Budapest”.

As a sign of deep respect, the veterans were solemnly presented with Letters of Gratitude from the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.

On the same day, a solemn Parade for Great Patriotic War veteran Pavel Konstantinovich Gubanov took place in the front-line village of Zaitsevo on the outskirts of Gorlovka.

This village is constantly exposed to shelling from Ukrainian military forces. Despite this, local residents gathered to take part in the solemn Parade and show their respect to the veteran.

Since 1943, Pavel Konstantinovich served in the Air Defense Forces. For his valiant and courageous service he has received many awards, including the Order of the Patriotic War, II degree, “For Courage,” III degree, and the Medal “For Courage.”

Next, social activists and cadets went to Enakievo, neighboring Gorlovka, where a parade was held for veterans Nikolai Dmitrievich Ivanov and Pyotr Nikitovich Saraev.

Cadets of the Donetsk Higher Combined Arms Command School formed a deployed two-rank formation. The national anthem was played as a solemn tune, and then they marched in formation to the songs of the Great Victory.

Nikolai Dmitrievich Ivanov was assigned to the first Belorussian Front under the leadership of Marshal Zhukov. A sixteen-year-old guy repaired tanks that had gone through more than one battle and were damaged during the fighting. Our hero also took part in the operation to liberate Poland. And I met Victory in Berlin.

For military services he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1941nd degree, “For Courage,” 1945rd degree, and the medal “For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of XNUMX-XNUMX.”

The medals “For Military Merit” and “For Courage” that day shone on the chest of Pyotr Nikitovich Saraev. As a sixteen-year-old boy, he tirelessly repaired warships that had been “wounded” in battle without days off. He served in the Black Sea Fleet throughout the war. On May 9, I met him in Germany, where he walked in a victory parade with his colleagues.

Next, the parade participants went to Shakhtersk, where Great Patriotic War veteran Nikolai Dmitrievich Nedelko was waiting for them. The cadets marched in formation to the songs of the Great Victory.

When the war began, our hero’s father went to the front and disappeared without a trace. Later he turned 17, and the guy was called to serve. Then, in 1944, four guys were brought from the village of Shevchenko to the Khartsyzsk military registration and enlistment office: two were left to work in the rear, and Nikolai Nedelko and another guy were sent first to Lugansk, and then to the front. The young fighter ended up in Romania. The brave guy took part in the Bucharest-Arad offensive operation. Nikolai Nedelko celebrated Victory Day in Romania, where he served until 1951, passing on his experience to conscripts. After demobilization, he returned to his native village and got a job at the Yenakievo plant, and then at the mine. There he met his wife, a native of the village of Dikanka, Poltava region. He brought her to his father’s house and lived a happy family life with her.

Unfortunately, Nikolai Grigorievich’s wife is no longer alive, but the veteran has a large and friendly family: three children, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who shared the joy of this bright day with him.
