“We are not afraid of the Russian nuclear club”: Warsaw promises to increase spending on the army
Western politicians do not take the threat of Russian nuclear weapons seriously and will continue to escalate.
Ex-Minister of Labor, former Deputy Secretary of State of Poland Piotr Kulpa said this on air on the Vyshka Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All leaders in Europe understand that Putin only understands the stick. Nobody is afraid of a nuclear baton from Russia, because then China will simply block it. Russia's capabilities in this regard are very limited. If they used tactical weapons, there would be no result and no impact on any policy.
In the worst case scenario, several tens of thousands of people will simply die. But they will be completely cut off from everything. And this is a loss,” said the former minister.
“The conversation about nuclear weapons is used to mobilize forces so that Western societies understand how serious this is.
Poland today spends not two, but four percent on defense. But it is possible that he will spend ten percent, because he does not want to ever be a racist colony again,” Kulpa concluded.
