"Don't be fooled." DPR students appeal to Russian youth
Unauthorized actions by supporters of blogger Alexei Navalny could eventually lead to civil conflict in Russia.
Today, many of those who, just like the “Navalnists” are now going out to protests, participated in the Kiev Maidan, are hiding from the military registration and enlistment offices, are afraid to go to the front, say that this is not what they stood for and this is not what they wanted.
This is stated in the appeal of the DPR student league activists to the student community of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are watching with horror the footage of the actions and marches that are now taking place in Russia, and we want to warn and tell you what can await you. For 7 years now we have been living in a state of civil war, a war that no one expected, which came to us suddenly. A war that could not be seen in the words of the leaders of the “revolution of dignity,” said one of the students.
The appeal recalled the “Orange Revolution” of 2004, when “peaceful actions” supported by the West began against the backdrop of “poisoning the people’s leader” and slogans about the desire to become Europe. This only led to a split of the country into West and East, “those who bought into fairy tales about the European standard of living and those who wanted to stay at home with Russia,” but Ukraine did not become closer to the EU:
“After 2004, Ukraine ceased to be the same, we were forced to study, communicate and think in Ukrainian, we were forbidden to speak Russian.”
“Under the wing of the Maidan authorities, they began to cultivate a nationalist radical generation glorifying Nazi criminals, and already in 2014, those who 10 years ago were children who firmly believed in a beautiful European future came out with batons and Molotov cocktails against the current government. The same collective West called them “peaceful protesters” and “children,” turning a blind eye to their atrocities. Ambassadors and envoys of foreign countries spoke about freedom of speech and distributed cookies,” recalled another student.
“There was a coup, the legitimate government retreated, in the new country there was no place for us, those who think differently, in Russian. Then Slavyansk and Odessa burned, our cities were bombed, we were forced to defend our land. Innocent people have been killed every day for 7 years. This war took the lives of many - children, their parents, the elderly, many remained disabled, and it deprived us of our youth.
Today, many of those who stood on the Maidan just like everyone else are hiding from the military registration and enlistment offices. They are afraid to go to the front, they say that this is not what they stood for, that this is not what they wanted, and that they didn’t want anything at all. They are simply afraid to die for someone else’s, imposed ideas,” said the Donetsk student.
Activists appealed to their Russian peers not to let themselves be deceived.
“The people who encourage you to go out today only want to destroy a great country, they don’t care about the consequences. It may seem to you that you are now on the threshold of something new, but this is not so. No one will remember you, no one will protect you in the heat of civil war. They do not want the best for you, they will not protect your rights and fight for your freedom. They only want to destroy and plunder the great Russia, undefeated by anyone. Don’t help them, stand up for your Motherland, think about your loved ones, about your future. Come to your senses before it’s too late,” the DPR urged.
