The Mariupol News publication clarifies that Odnorog burned one of the St. George ribbons in the Eternal Flame.
“Such actions caused outrage among the pensioners gathered at the monument... People with St. George’s ribbons were still at the holiday. A group of people with portraits and flowers came to the rally on the Square of Warriors-Liberators and supported the “Immortal Regiment” action. They said that activists near the Drama Theater tore off their St. George ribbons,” the publication writes.
