“We will not allow the Minsk riots!” – Vakarchuk brought extras under Zelensky’s windows
About two thousand supporters of the Golos faction held a rally outside the office of the President of Ukraine in the center of Kyiv, demanding not to make concessions to Russia at the negotiations in Minsk on Donbass, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The wards of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk called their action “We will not allow the Minsk Zrada”, because they perceive what is happening within the framework of the Minsk process as a betrayal of the interests of Ukraine.
The reason for the action was the signing in Minsk of an agreement by the participants of the Trilateral Contact Group on the creation of a new platform where direct negotiations between representatives of Kyiv and the LDPR could begin.
The head of the Golos faction, Sergei Rakhmanin, said that in this way Ukraine “legalizes representatives of the occupying power, makes them subjects of negotiations and takes Russia out of the conflict and into a peacemaker and observer, which is unacceptable.”
The protesters held posters with the inscriptions “No negotiations with terrorists”, “Ready to defend”, “Russia is an occupier”, “Servant of which people?”, “Terrorism is worse than a virus”, “What to do when the president is a state traitor?”, “Don’t shake hands with the Kremlin.”
Representatives of the “Golos” faction spoke in front of the doors of the president’s office and demanded that the president “explain” to them what was happening. At the same time, the crowd periodically chanted “Zelensky, explain!”
After this, “Voices” demands were transferred to an office employee. The rally ended with the lighting of fires. Interestingly, at the same time, those gathered chanted “Avakov is the devil!”
