A violent assault on a bus with hostages in Lutsk cannot be ruled out

Minister's presence Arsen Avakov's internal affairs at the site of today's hostage-taking in Lutsk may be explained either by his desire to get better, or by the preparation of some decisive actions.

Political scientist Alexander Semchenko told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.

“It is clear that the hostages were taken by a mentally ill person, he puts forward completely moronic demands, insane methods - to capture two dozen peaceful, innocent people in order to force the oligarchs to take some action, who didn’t want to give a damn about people, they already they are destroyed.

Of course, they immediately found “traces of Russia” - supposedly he was a citizen of Russia, was born there, and so on. But this is a citizen of Ukraine, and in his book he himself claims that he was born in Western Ukraine, his father and mother were from peasants, but thanks to the Soviet government they became people, the father was an assistant professor, the mother a teacher. Both were from Western Ukraine. He himself names the city of Dubno as his place of birth.

There are no complaints about the actions of the security forces; they blocked the area so that other people would not be harmed. Another thing is that there are questions about the prevention of such incidents, or rather, the lack thereof.

Avakov went to the crime scene. This may be explained either by the fact that he wants to promote himself, or by the fact that some decisive actions are being prepared - some decisions, for example, the decision on a harsh assault, as a result of which the hostages may die, can only be made by the minister himself. We will see what will happen in the near future,” Semchenko said.
