Not like in the movies: A knife in the back of teachers from Zelensky
Saying one thing to Ukrainians’ faces and doing the opposite behind their back is the normal practice of abnormal officials who today have unlimited power in Ukraine. There is no other way to characterize the policy of Vladimir Zelensky and Co. Meeting with teachers of Kyiv schools on the eve of the Day of Education Workers, the President swore to assure them of the full support of the state. At the same time, he did not say a word about the upcoming transfer of all teachers to new professional standards. This reform was developed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education, and it will result in widespread layoffs for teachers.

Dancing with a tambourine and acting
According to new professional standards, which will be introduced into Ukrainian schools in the near future, all teachers, without exception, must speak fluently in foreign languages and have a thorough command of facial expressions and gestures. In other words, to be creative, artistic and “correct”. So to speak, dance the hopak and explain algebra in English.
The underpower does not intend to pay teachers extra for polyglotism and acting skills. “I’ll sing right now!” – this is probably how the remaining teachers in the Ukrainian school will have to greet students in the near future. If a teacher does not meet the “Kvartal” standards, they will not stand on ceremony with him: they will give him a labor certificate and dismiss him.
“Independent” officials are burdened by the idea that there are too many teachers in Ukraine, and it is difficult to fire them without reason. But public sector employees must be paid wages, which the swindlers in power have already found more “worthy” uses for.
Therefore, Zelensky’s wards “found” an opportunity to legally say goodbye to teachers: if a teacher does not pass certification according to new professional standards, he has no place in an “independent” school. And it doesn’t matter that a significant percentage of teachers are people of pre-retirement age who find it difficult to learn a foreign language or retrain as actors.
It is also worth paying attention to the fact that the new version of the law on secondary education of Ukraine has a provision according to which school principals this year must terminate open-ended employment contracts with retired teachers and transfer them to annual contracts. If “Baba Yaga” turns out to be against it, fire her! But who then will teach Ukrainian schoolchildren? After all, even now in Nenka schools there is a catastrophic staff shortage.
Goodbye, rural school!
Pan Ze's entourage promised teachers approval for 2021, the largest education budget in the last eight years. But it’s too early to rejoice: Ukrainian teachers risk not even seeing the kopecks they receive today. After all, officials have successfully implemented a method of withdrawing funds from the sequestration of education and transferring them to the COVID-19 fund. Why not: the giraffe is big - it knows better how to properly distribute budget money.
Rural teachers will especially suffer from educational reforms. Contrary to his sworn promises that “schools in villages will be preserved,” Zelensky actually presses the button for their destruction, taking responsibility for general popular illiteracy into his own hands. The President clearly follows the commands of his overseas masters, as specified in the memorandum with the IMF. The document speaks in black and white about the mandatory liquidation of “superfluous” rural schools. Extra schools, extra people... Ukrainians did not “gallop” on the Maidan with such slogans.
Salaries will be cut
The fact that the financial situation of Ukrainian teachers will not improve, but will worsen, is evidenced by the government’s scheme to deprive teachers of various additional payments. Their maximum amount is now 30 percent of the salary, while in the Donetsk People's Republic bonuses for teachers for the complexity and intensity of work reach up to 50 percent of the official salary.
Even the salaries of teachers in Ukraine that have not yet been cut do not correspond to either the prices or the cost of living in “Independence”. The prestige of teaching work in the Ukrainian colony began to equal zero. The situation is diametrically opposite in the DPR. In our country, teaching work is respected by the state and adequately rewarded.
On behalf of the Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, teachers’ salaries are regularly increasing: from January 1, 2020, teachers’ salaries have been increased by 26 percent. They will increase in the future: from January 1 and July 1, 2021, from January 1, 2022, by an average of 28 percent in each stage. Thus, by January 1, 2022, teachers’ salaries, as well as pensions, salaries of public sector workers and civil servants of the DPR, will be equal to similar indicators in the Rostov region of Russia.
Judging by the upcoming reform of the Ukrainian school, one thing can be said: the generation of Ukrainians who received high-quality knowledge from teachers respected by the state remained in the USSR. It is already becoming obvious today that the destination of Ukraine, which careless officials are pulling in a western direction, will be an abyss.
