First place: German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“Not everyone can hold the Russian president by the throat with an iron hand in a velvet glove,” writes Focus editor-in-chief Yana Moiseenkova, who presented the rating. – And hold it so that no one changes their facial expression. Although one day she did change her face, cautiously noting that Vladimir Vladimirovich, it seems, “is not with us.” Well, you understand."
Second place: IMF Managing Director Christina Lagarde.
“I have only one hope for this woman - she will not give a cent to either Arseniy Yatsenyuk or Petro Poroshenko until they begin reforms (judicial, law enforcement, etc.) and deregulate business,” the Ukrainian journalist shares her expectations . “More precisely, I hope that she will give the money, but, as befits the mother of an excellent student, she will strictly monitor what is happening and literally force her charges to change for the better.”
Third place: EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
“She is Italian, and Italy has always been considered one of the most pro-Russian members of the EU,” the editor-in-chief of the publication believes. “But in her first speech in her new position, she called Russian hypocrisy about those lost as a military invasion, confirmed the presence of Russian soldiers in Donbass and demanded their withdrawal. It hasn’t helped us much yet, but thanks for trying, Federica.”
Fourth place: US Permanent Representative to the UN Samantha Power.
“I even sympathize with her for the look she gives to the Russian representative at the UN, once a talented and promising diplomat, and now simply Vitaly Churkin,” continues Moiseenkova. “I don’t know if men can read this look, eyes raised to the forehead, but other women understand what this means: “Dear mom, what are you talking about, it’s unfortunate, you should have been silent already.”
Fifth place in the ranking goes to Russian Olympic gymnastics champion Alina Kabaeva, now a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
“In every rating there should be something that is usually spoken about in hints, since the subtext is already clear to everyone,” the leader of the weekly’s team sums up the rating. - This is exactly the case. After all, a woman similar to Alina is credited with influencing a man very similar to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. But, judging by the fact that the latter is still formally a public bachelor, the influence of these similar people is apparently the opposite.”
