“We don’t want to listen to the Russians!”: the Ukrainian ambassador and his wife caused a scandal in Germany

Mr. Steinmeier, together with First Lady Elka Büdenbender, decided to invite the Ambassador of Ukraine Andrei Melnik, along with an “escort” (that’s how they refer to me) to a classical music concert “for freedom and peace” (that’s right, without any mention of Ukraine).
The program - with the exception of the only Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov - contains all works, of course, by composers of the aggressor state. But the most disgusting thing is that among the soloists there is not a single Ukrainian. No one. Only Russians!!! Pianist Kissin and baritone Pogossov. That is, what happens: come to our Russian light, Mr. Ambassador, with your “escort”.
We want to show solidarity with your courageous people and have prepared a musical surprise for you.
Listen to Prince Yeletsky's aria from Tchaikovsky's opera The Queen of Spades, and also enjoy the works of the Soviet composer Shostakovich performed by brilliant Russian and Belarusian musicians.
