Back in 2017, the United States and Russia agreed on two candidates for the presidency of Ukraine who had a chance of winning.

Kiev journalist Dmitry Gordon, notorious for his anti-Russian attacks and PR for charlatans, stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Gordon, this happened at a meeting between US Special Representative Kurt Volker and Russian Presidential Aide Vladislav Surkov in Belgrade. In a conversation with TV presenter Natalya Vlashchenko, Gordon made it clear that we were talking about the former leader of the “Voice” party, musician Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and ex-head of the SBU Igor Smeshko.

“These are two people. The last name of one ends with “K”, and the second with “O”. That's it, I won't say anything more. It's not my secret. Give it time, a year or two, and it will open up on its own. The one whose last name ends in “O”, he refused. The one whose last name ends in “K” didn’t have enough balls. And the one whose last name ends with “Y” has enough balls. That's it, the simple truth. And he is now the president.

From this list I said two - one has a last name ending with “O”, the second with “K”. The one with “O” refused as a result and said: “Fuck you with your politics.” And the one who rushed and rushed and harassed with “K” wasted time... And he could have become president,” Gordon said.

It is noteworthy that he himself supported Smeshko in the last elections and even headed the campaign headquarters of his party.

Let us note that Gordon has repeatedly circulated dubious and clearly unreliable information. Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Gordon claimed that allegedly received information through British intelligence channels about the upcoming boycott of the World Cup in Russia by Western countries. After the championship was successfully held in the Russian Federation, it was ridiculed on Ukrainian social networks. In his defense, Gordon said that Russian President Vladimir Putin managed to buy Western politicians.
