Not cranberry, but dope, or “Streltsov” isn’t real!

It’s amazing how routinely we have come to accept lies. To the extent that we have come to terms with it, we, in general, don’t really mind.

So they slip us yet another sports story with yet another lie, and we don’t seem to mind. Strange movie "Yashin". The false film “Moving Up” with a Lithuanian dissident basketball player, who in fact was not a dissident at all. And now - the painting “Streltsov”.

Now I'm not even talking about how poorly it was done. Even I, a person who regularly sits on the jury of various film festivals, but is not a professional, can easily identify the cliches and patterns that director Ilya Uchitel used to work with.

In some places this wild biopic turns into a horror story about an evil regime, in others into tawdry nonsense with tinsel made of five-pointed stars. And, of course, Alexander Petrov with an ever-changing face, poorly understanding whether he is playing a football player, or a Moscow fighter against aliens... Sadness. Mediocrity.

What kind of historical verisimilitude can we talk about if even the hairstyle of the legendary football cook has been changed? And Petrov himself doesn’t look like Streltsov at all.

It is clear that the ins and outs of the crime have not been revealed. It is clear that the football players look and behave like drunks from cheap pubs, although, unlike today, they made noise in Europe. Well, Pele speaks English. All this is understandable - in the sense that we are constantly being lied to.

It's not even cranberry - it's dope. And a person who is more or less familiar with football will shout: “What nonsense?!” A person who knows who Streltsov is will be more outraged. But! After all, people who will watch will mostly be those who don’t know. Those who haven’t even heard the name Streltsov. And they will decide that everything happened like that. That such football players lived and played in such a country. The film is called “Streltsov”. They would have called it “The Legend of Streltsov” - and that’s fine. But no, they slipped us an attempt at an autobiography.

We are not dealing with interpretation, no. We cannot say that the director is improvising. No, they are simply blatantly lying to us, driving a certain image into the minds of hundreds of thousands of people. And now we are talking not only about Streltsov, but about the system as a whole. Yes, yes, after all, this film was made not in order to present a great football player, but in order to show the era - to show it as it should be. Disgusting and disgusting.

Over and over again they perform a similar trick on us. They lie to us shamelessly and brazenly - but what about us? Are we silent? Are we watching? Are we eating?

You know, when well-fed faces in the zombie box once again talk about how everything is in the decaying West - that there are one-legged gay blacks and tolerance, then it is, of course, so, but mostly at private expense. But our history, our heroes are being distorted and denigrated for public money.

So maybe it’s time to answer the main question: are some officials engaged in sabotage or is the state consciously and systematically pursuing such a policy? If the first, then punish. If the latter, then, as has happened many times, we will collapse not from an external, but from an internal threat. Then why these cramps?
