“We cannot predict how Turkish radicals will react to the arrival of Russian citizens”
Before deciding to vacation in Turkey, and not, for example, in Sevastopol and Crimea, Russian citizens must take into account two factors: the issue of personal safety and the fact that our pilots died due to the treachery of the Turks.
This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by Vadim Kolesnichenko, adviser to the governor of Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo.

“The President clearly said: you can fly wherever you want, but the most important thing is guarantees of the safety of our tourists. This is a very serious matter. No one guaranteed the issue of personal safety, no one ensured it, especially after the terrorist attack in Turkey that we know of.
Plus, anti-Russian rhetoric in the Turkish media went off scale. There was essentially an information war going on against Russia for a whole year. And what, after Erdogan apologized, did the mentality of Turkish citizens change? We cannot predict how Turkish radicals will react to the arrival of Russian citizens on vacation. So the issue of personal safety is the number one issue.
Well, secondly, and most importantly: we remember why this whole conflict happened. At least a year must pass since the death of our pilots. We need to take a break. Agreements between leaders are one thing, but our own actions are another matter. We must remember: our guys were destroyed there,” Kolesnichenko said.
Earlier, Vice-Governor of Sevastopol Alexander Reshetnikov said that the redistribution of tourist flow in the Black Sea region after the opening of the Turkish destination for Russian tourists will be insignificant.
He predicts that, despite the “opening of Turkey,” 7-10% more tourists will come to Sevastopol this year, that is, at least 375 thousand people. These statistics do not take into account tourists, of whom more than 1,5 million are expected in Sevastopol per year.
