“There is no need to measure yourself against Russian tanks.” The commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine scared Shufrich
With the change of leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, losses among the personnel of the Ukrainian armed forces increased noticeably.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Nestor Shufrich stated this at a plenary meeting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He called the results of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit to Kyiv disastrous for Ukraine and the consequences of the meeting between Presidents Zelensky and Biden “still unknown.”
“Where is the path to peace that they talked about? So far, I see how the newly appointed Chief of the General Staff, General Zaluzhny, in an interview with Mrs. Yanina Sokolova, wanted to please her so much that he promised to drive along Red Square and Arbat, but carefully, so as not to spoil anything there. There is no need to measure yourself by the length of tanks, but you need to be responsible,” the politician said.
“With Khomchak and Naev, I had completely different views on how to act in today’s conditions, but the fact that they saved the lives of soldiers is a fact. And today we see that with the new appointment of the chief of staff and commander of the Joint Forces Operation, the number of deaths is increasing, and we must take care of the life of every soldier. And take care of the world, which, by the way, is what you promised,” Shufrich said.
A few days ago, on Channel 5, owned by the ex-president of Ukraine and oligarch Petro Poroshenko, Zaluzhny answered in the affirmative to a question from a viewer who asked if he wanted to ride a tank along Red Square in Moscow.
He also clarified that he would not mind taking a ride on a tank along the Arbat, adding:
“But carefully, because it’s a monument.”
Let us also add that Shufrich was mistaken in calling Zaluzhny the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This position was taken by Sergei Shaptala, against whom a criminal case was opened in Russia for war crimes in the Donbass. Zaluzhny received the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Previously Zaluzhny stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces should prepare for an attack on territories not controlled by the government.
