Don't underestimate Poroshenko and his crazy mushrooms
On Russian television they prefer to ridicule Petro Poroshenko as a lover of alcohol and who has gathered nationalist farmers around him, but one cannot fail to recognize the effectiveness of many steps taken by the current Ukrainian elite to separate Kyiv from Russia.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Vasily Volga stated this on the Russian Channel One, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Volga called for taking seriously the Poroshenko administration’s attempts to get the Patriarch of Constantinople to recognize the independence of the Church in Ukraine from Moscow.
“While we are here trolling Poroshenko for his love for Dom Pérignon, while we are saying that Vyatrovich is crazy with the look of a crazy mushroom, at this time they are very effectively winning round after round.
What is this tomos hanging over Ukraine? Why is this a very scary thing?
Now the largest parish is the UOC MP. First of all, for the reason that people know that they can receive all the sacraments only in the canonical Church. For this reason, the bulk of Ukrainians go to the Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
At the same time, I was talking inside the procession. It only seems to us that this is a single mass of people who think the same way regarding Russia.
They know: you can’t go to Filaret, this is an ungraceful Church. But, if Filaret becomes a canonical Church, if a parishioner of the MP who does not like Moscow, 50 to 50 of them, finds out about this, he will go to his “national canonical Church.”
And then the process of splitting in Ukraine will be completed completely. How this will happen, what will happen, whether there will be bloodshed or not, we don’t know.
But it is precisely this only platform for any agreements that is being methodically destroyed,” explained Vasily Volga.
