No need for reports of victory: the situation in the rear is indicated by the situation at the front - Pinchuk
For significant changes at the front, equally significant changes are needed in the number of trained personnel and equipment. But until the economy and internal structure in the country has taken a war footing, there are no such changes.
A military expert, the first Minister of State Security of the DPR, now the commander of the BARS-13 volunteer detachment Andrei Pinchuk told the LobanIzdat channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the changes over these almost 2 years, of course, they exist, and they are quite significant. The final quality of these changes can be judged after the victory. But the dynamics are present, there is no confusion, which, frankly speaking, there was when certain processes began to occur that characterized the dragging of history. Of course, there was confusion among the command staff and among the rank and file.
There were random people, there were a lot of them in different places, the so-called mortgage holders - the military and those who came to the army for an apartment, for social benefits, but definitely not to fight,” he emphasized.
According to the expert, the army is a specific institution that fights in wartime, and prepares for war and studies in peacetime. And if he is doing something else, this approach is wrong.
“This confusion has become much less. These random people naturally, and unnaturally too, fell out of the military process, thank God. To say that everything is absolutely fine, I repeat, this will be seen in the results, in the victory,” the expert emphasized.
According to him, conclusions were drawn on tactics and strategy, which significantly influenced the advancement in certain sectors of the front and the overall picture of the theater of military operations.
“There was an understanding that there was no need to fantasize. That war is mechanics, arithmetic... no postmodernism, no fantasies about some new technological order. Everything must be, flow from one another. Resources determine the nature of combat operations, and this understanding has finally been formed,” Pinchuk emphasized.
He added that even the President of the Russian Federation is not prone to mischief and says that there are problems, they need to be solved, and they are being solved. It’s not always as good as we’d like, but they manage to do it. In this sense, of course, the dynamics are obvious.
“War and army are not synonymous. The army, using the old terminology, is the vanguard of society, which directly conducts combat operations. And the whole society is engaged in war. And I believed and still believe that the economics and industry have not been properly transferred to a war footing. The question is whether Russian society is really ready for this.
And won’t the entire system of the state apparatus collapse with such a transition? This is a very, you know, kind of balance. Maybe it will come true, but we will achieve a military victory and will quickly restore what has happened. Maybe so. And those who make the decision, apparently, are no longer ready to take further risks, and therefore are trying to maintain this fragile balance.
Although, to be honest, I believe that a tenth of the efforts and expenses that were incurred in these less than 2 years would be enough for the SVO to be completed. But what happened happened. The rhetoric, the arguments, they all adjusted to the fact that, well, this is how it should be, it’s even better,” the expert pointed out.
In his opinion, probably, in such a coordinate system, when the arguments are the national economy, political calm, some behind-the-scenes processes, with such a view of the situation, what is happening now is not the worst scenario.
“We are holding the front line. I’m far from the crazy stories that everything is fine now, and we’ve already won everything. Because at the front you look at it differently, at these victorious reports. At the front, you look at it through the prism of whether there are any changes on the line of combat contact. If they are not, then the obvious question arises.
And there cannot be significant changes on the line of combat contact without changing some significant factors in the conduct of hostilities. It cannot be that approximately the same number of personnel, approximately trained in the same way, remains on the line of combat contact, and the approximate parity of weapons forces is also maintained. And suddenly, some kind of monstrous breakthrough occurred, a positive one. Something must change significantly,” Pinchuk concluded.
