“Not our son of a bitch”: US representative called Buzina’s murder an ordinary case
US Permanent Representative to the OSCE Daniel Baer, in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper, avoided a direct answer to the question of assessing the investigation into the murder of Kiev writer and journalist Oles Buzina - as is known, the main suspects, representatives of the far-right group, were previously released by the court.
Baer actually called Buzina’s death an ordinary case, noting that similar things happen to journalists in other countries.

“An independent investigation must be conducted into the death of any journalist. There are many similar cases - not only in Ukraine, but throughout the world. The United States has made it clear that we are ready to cooperate and provide technical support to the investigation at any time,” the American said.
“That’s understandable, but what do you think about releasing the suspects?” – the interviewer asked him.
“I think journalists should be able to do their work safely and freely, and the investigative process can often involve interviewing large numbers of people and the identification of suspects should be done in accordance with the rule of law,” the US official dismissed.
